Xero and Anthropic shipped a real, official connector in Anthropic’s Connectors Directory in May 2026 — and Xero says exactly what it does, in their own words: "the read-only way to get answers in Claude." Reports only. No custom queries, no write-back, no per-member governance, no workflow memory, no multi-entity consolidation.
Worth being precise about, since it’s the kind of thing a technical reader tests directly: this is about the consumer connector specifically. Xero’s separate open-source MCP server is a different thing — genuinely read/write — and gets its own comparison.
